We have been in business for 34 years. Garnies early beginnings started when he successfully created chosen products for Professional Cowboys. Bronc Saddles were used back then by cowboys including Ken Coleman, Ray Hermann, Warwick Turner & Mick Connolly to name a few. Robyn creatively designed rodeo & western pleasure chaps. Bareback Riggings were also a relevant part & used by many champions. Roping saddles, then started to grow in numbers, one of which was made for John Osborne Junior in 1976 and is still being used 31years on by his children today All of this demand led to Trophy saddles & Garnie's 1st saddle business Championship Rodeo Equipment. Cutting Saddles were made back then, but not to today's present capacity.
Some of Garnie's achievements are as follows :-
· Member of the highly recognized Queensland Eidsvold Team They won the 1966 Polocrosse AustralianTitle His field position was No 2 This team also won a Qld Title.
· 1975 Garnie won a hotly contested Australian Saddle Bronc Riding Title from Ken Coleman.

1976 chosen by the Australian Government to represent Australia, Bronc riding on the BiCentinial Year Rodeo Team in USA
· 1980 New Zealand Saddle Bronc Riding Chanpion, Bareback Riding Champion & All
Around Champion
· Garnie is only one of two cowboys to ever win the Cobb & Co Purse Bronc Riding event at Warwick, Queensland three times.
1975-1991 Saddle Bronc Schools were held yearly in conjunction with Darryl Kong & Team Roping Schools in the late 80's with John Osborne. Beresford's Pro Rodeo Equipment became of age in 1984 and we continued to supply professional rodeo equipment & saddles to Australia & New Zealand.
We introduced the Horseman's Poley to the market place and in 1989 changed our business name to the present day Beresford Saddlery Garnie recognised that cross breeding was taking place in horses and adjusted his saddles accordingly. Equally there was a need for an Australia designed stock saddle that would meet the demands of the competent horsepersons, who were increasingly meeting the highly competive fields in their respective disciplines. Above all, it was the fit of horses that was Garnie’s main priority.
A combination of Garnie's life experiences involving the bush & his horse sports has enabled his knowledge and talent to integrate with persons within the land and horse industry .We are grateful to those clients, who use our service repeatedly.
